Hi,
I would like to know if the input GTX_CLK of TLK2711 shall be square wave or a sine ?
Does the specifiation of 40 ps jitter peak-peak includes that the the clock is square wave ?
Thanks
Audrey

Hi Audrey,
GTX_CLK is expected to be a square wave. I would expect that the jitter specification includes that the clock is a square wave.

Hi Audrey,
The input impedance is pretty high. This is detailed by the input high and input low currents.

Thanks,
Drew
Hi Audrey,
We have not characterized device behavior with a sinusoidal clock, so I'm not sure how the device would behave. I would not expect the 50 Ohm output to cause an issue, but please note that your amplitude may be twice what you set it to due to high impedance input. You will also need to ensure that the DC offset is appropriate.
Thanks,
Drew
