TLIN1027-Q1: K-line mode question

hi team:

 my customer want to use the TLIN1027-Q1 device in K-Line application. but after confirmation with the current E2E related questions. i think the difference with LIN receiver is removing the R623,R625 resistor in below schematic and make the LIN pull -up . As this device cannot fully support the K-line standard but can support the K-LINE application. it is a little to difficult to understand the balance between these concept.

  so would you provide another device which can fully satisfy with the K-line standard?

  And ,is that any other learning materials that you can share with us about how this LIN receiver can be used in K-LINE application.

    We do not have any devices which fully comply with the K-line standard. The balance between compliance of the standard and working in an application is this: in the K-line physical layer definition, the expectation is that each node has a 100k ohm pull-up to the supply voltage. The overall bus resistance is limited by limiting the amount of nodes with this expected pull-up resistance. Because LIN transceivers have 45k ohm (typical) pull-up resistance integrated onto the IC, the amount of nodes that can be on a K-line bus using a LIN transceiver is less, but can still meet the overall bus impedance requirement. So using LIN transceivers like the TLIN1027-Q1 limits the total nodes possible defined in the K-line specification, but it can still work if your application doesn't need the full amount of nodes.
