Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS280MB810,
Hello TI Team,
I am in the midst of preparing schematics for a design that includes a number of DS280MB810 redrivers.
While doing so, it occurs to me that it may be wise to include the possibility that we could drop down a DS280DF810 retimer for some of the redrivers if we should ever need the extra-reach provided by the retimers. They are footprint compatible and the datasheets even recommend such an option, if ever it is needed. Therefore, I have a few questions and requests:
- Can the DS280MB810 (redriver) and DS280DF810 (retimer) be situated & programmed on the same SMBus?
- Can a single EEPROM support a combination of MBs (redrivers) and DFs (retimers) on a single SMBus?
- Or, do MBs and DFs require different EEPROMs and be located on separate SMBus chains?
- Can the 25MHz CAL_CLK originate into a MB (redriver) and traverse through a combination of MB and DF devices?
- Can you provide secure account access for me to the DS280DF810 datasheets and support documentation?
- Also, can you provide SigCon Architect Updaters for the DS280DF810 and DS280MB810 that are compatible with version 3.0? I already have an updater for the DS280MB810, but it is not recognized by version 3 of the SigCon Architect tool (I installed version 2 on my PC, but it doesn't work, so I prefer to work with version 3 if possible).
Best Regards,
-Mark
