Customer test DP1.2 , it is Intel TGL H direct output, but the test fails Would like to ask if there is a suggested solution IC and possible causes of this issue Fail in Test 3.2_Non Pre-Emphasis Level Verification Testing (NonPreEmphasis Level(800mV to 400mV): HBR2 PLTPAT NoSSC 0dB Run1) 1. Since Eye-diagram is PASS, what is the possible reason for this problem? 2. Is there any suggested solution for this problem?

Hi,

Please update the Tektronix compliance SW first as the non-pre emphasis is now only applied to the HBR and RBR data rate in the latest DP1.4 CTS spec.

Hi,

They still need to update the compliance SW as the DP1.4 spec now supersedes the DP1.2 spec.

Hi,

They will have to increase the source 800mV signal amplitude voltage to pass this test. But the non-pre emphasis is now only applied to the HBR and RBR data rate, so this test really does not apply to the HBR2 data rate anymore.
