DS96F175MQML-SP: Are there IBIS or other signal integrity models available for this device?

Part Number: DS96F175MQML-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS96F174MQML-SP,

Hi experts

Are there IBIS or other signal integrity models available for this device?

I'm also looking for similar models for the DS96F174MQML-SP.

Thanks!

Jim B

  • Jim,

We don't have any simulation models for this part number unfortunately, nor for the non-SP version. We do have IBIS models for other quad channel receivers in our portfolio like the AM26LV32E or the SN75LBC173A. While these may not be exact models of the DS96F175MQML-SP, they may be something the customer can use to model their system. How are they planning to use the IBIS model?

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett

  • Hi Eric

They want to perform signal integrity analysis of their system level design.

It is disappointing that we don't have models to support this. They would be happy with IBIS, Spice or other similar models that would help with this.

    Best regards,

    Jim B

  • Jim,

I understand the disappointment, models are typically generated and released at the release of the silicon, and both the non-SP version of this device and the -SP version of this device were not part of the normal project flow since they are older. As we get more updates from the internal team about what may be useable for this device by the customer, I will update this thread.

  • Thanks Eric

I'm working with the customer to get a schematic snippet of the I/O paths they are trying to evaluate for signal integrity. I'm hoping some commentary from the application team on the schematic and some layout recommendations may be enough to satisfy them.

I'll create a new thread once I have that information.
