TFP403: Any alternatives to the TFP403?

Part Number: TFP403
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TFP401, TMDS181, TMDS171

Hi, i have a Raspberry pi and want to drive a Touchscreen from Pimoroni, called Hyperpixel 4.0-Touch.

My Touchscreen requires rgb666 protocoll.

My Problem is, that i want to transfer rgb666 video data from my raspberry Pi to the Touchscreen over a few meters.

Unfortunately, the data Signals and especially the PCLK line are extremely fast, therefore my touchscreen only flickers a little bit because of the really choppy PCLK signal.

My solution was the TFP403, but unfortunately i dont have access to assemble this part at JLCPCB

My question so far:

Are there any alternatives to the TFP403?

Ive seen the TFP401, but this one is also not able to assemble.

Does anyone know, what the "SSD2828QN4" from SOLOMON can do?

Could this chip be a possible alternative?

Thanks

  • Hi,

Since SSD2828QN4 is not a TI part, I can't comment on its usage.

Can you please share a block diagram on what you are trying to do? If you are concerned with the HDMI signal quality over a few meters of cable, can you maybe use a retimer such as the TMDS171 or the TMDS181 first, and then use the TFP403/401?

    Thanks
