Hi team,
My customer use TPS65988DK for writing board application.
Port A and Port B are SINK.
customer use different cable to connect to NB.
PIN C cable: Pin Assignment C cable (TypeC to TypeC)
PIN E cable: Pin Assignment E cable (DP to TypeC)
When they use PIN C cable and plug in Port A, Port A has 20V on Vbus.
When they use PIN E cable and plug in Port A, Port A has only 0.65V.
Below are my customer questions.
1.) For PIN C cable the behavior is correct, Vbus has 20V. But why my customer use PIN E cable the Vbus only has 0.65V, they the CC log doesn't show anything, please see attached file.
2.) My customer would like to know, does our PD controller GPIO event has a way to detect PIN E cable insertion. I search our GPIO event table. but I am not sure which GPIO event can meet my customer request.
Port 0 AMSEL Event, Port 0 DP Mode Select Event, Port 0 USB3 Event, Port 0 DP or USB3 Event. Could you tell me which event I could use, thanks.
I also put the pjt file on E2E.
