TPS25750: Configuration file/schematics diagnostic

Part Number: TPS25750
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25790, BQ25792

To whom it may concern:

I am working on the new project using TPS25750 interface, and seems like the EEPROM doesn't get configured correctly. It is a 3S1P design, and the ideal charging voltage and current is 12.6V/2A. I used the online configuration tool, and the configuration was set as:

  1. Select your configuration:

    power sink (consumer) only BQ/TPS25750D.

  1. What is the maximum power that can be sourced?

    n/a

  1. What is the required sink power or power consumed?

    27W (9V)

  1. What is the preferred power role?

    power sink (consumer)

  1. Do you have a preferred data role?

    no

  1. What is the supported USB Highest Speed?

no USB data is being used

  1. Do you have a Vendor  ID provided by the USB-IF?

    no

  1. Do you have a desired Product ID?

    no

  1. Select the battery charger component to integrate:

    bq25790 or bq 25792

  1. What is the battery charging voltage?

    12.6V

  1. What is the battery charging current?

    2A

  1. What is the charge termination current?

    0.28A

  1. What is the pre-charge current?

    0.36A

But after I program this into the EEPROM through MCP2221, it only had 1A charging current, which is default value from the BQ25792 charger (10.5Kohms on the PROG pin). If the PROG resistor value was changed to

6.04K, the charging current would changed to 2A (but it is for 2S battery default).

Could you please help to take a look into this issue?

Thank you!
