Dear Sir,

ALP tool use I2C to communicate UB954 and UB953, and then get the testing results, the communication quality is very important.

So , I plan  to integrate this testing into firmware, and then the firmware can do self-testing.

Can TI give a guidance for this purpose？

    Hi David, 

    What exactly is being done inside ALP that needs migrated to standalone firmware/software?

    All of the information/settings in the ALP are directly accessed/configured via register writes to and from the SER and DES via I2C.
