I want to make a Dongle included USB 3.0 1Port, Ethernet 1Port. (Ethernet : USB 2.0 to Ethernet IC)
The problem is that Ethenet must be supported through the USB Hub, but USB C must perform DRP (Dual Role, DFP or UFP) operation.
1. Review the block diagram below
A. When (1)* TUSB320DFP Role (USB C connect to OTG Device)
- (1)* : ID -> LOW (Open Drain)
- (2)* : Keep UFP
- (3),(4)* : Switch to 'B'
B. When (1)* TUSB320 UFP Role (USB C connect to PC)
- (1)* : ID -> High (External Pull up)
- (2)* : change to DFP
- (3),(4)* : Switch to 'A'
2. Are there any precautions when changing USB DFP <-> UFP?
- usb reset?
