I’ve got a question on the TLK2711-SP that I was hoping you could help me out with. I would like to get some more information on the device’s GTX_CLK input, specifically around jitter. I am pairing this device with the Vectron 1419R103M6800BS which has a quoted period jitter pk-pk of 40ps. Per the datasheet for the TLK, I see that there is a maximum allowable of 40ps on the Peak to Peak jitter. I was curious about the rationale for this specification. Additionally, I noted in a TI app note (here) the below
I was curious what the bandwidth is on the GTX_CLK input for the TLK2711-SP and if we can take advantage of this fact to close on our worst case analysis.
