AM26C32: Does this product include bushold feature?

Part Number: AM26C32
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM26LS32A

Hi team,

I am writting to check does AM26C32 include bushold function? My custome was using AM26LS32 and met output unstable when the rising/falling edge of input is very slow.

The problem seems to be fixed a lot after changing to AM26C32, and seems the device include some kindly of bus-hold function.

We would like to understand:

1. Does AM26C32 include bushold function?

2. For TI logic or transceiver devices, how to determine whether it includes the bushold function?

Regards,

Brian

  • Neither the AM26LS32A nor the AM26C32 have bus-hold inputs.

However, both do have hysteresis (see the Vhys specification), and that of the AM26C32 is a little bit larger.

  • Hi Brian,

Clemens is correct the AM26C32 does not have bus-hold inputs but it does have a larger hysteresis which seems to be the added factor that helps overcome the problem when using the AM26LS32A. Typically features like a bus-hold will be explicitly mentioned in datasheet as it directly affects operation.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Best,

    Parker Dodson
