TPS65987EVM: SPI Flash to Device verification failed at 99%

Hi,

I am trying to flash the board from recovery image from the folder "C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\TPS65981_2_6_7_8 Application Customization 6.1.3\tps6598x-application-customization\recovery"

Image name "tps65987_power_duo_mode_SINK_evm_flash_image"

I am getting below error. Please help me to resolve this.

Hi Bhojaraj,

Did you first successfully connect the FDTI adapter and sweep the I2C address successfully in the Adapter tab at the top? Also is the FDTI chip you are using the same one that ships with the EVM? Please ensure it is the same one and you have the latest drivers downloaded on your PC. You could also retry downloading the drivers. Otherwise I recommend swapping to the Aardvark connector as this interface is usually more consistent.

Hi Taylor,

Thanks for the replay.

I am able to connect FTDI using USB cable successfully and sweep the I2C Address.

The FTDI Chip same on board i am using. The latest driver you are asking to update is FTDI drivers(Retry the download ?

Also is that the device verification failed means program not flashed to board? or only verification failed but program flashed?

By the way .The Aardvark connector is tooo expensive and we cant afford as of now.

Could you please connect us with local field application engineer to solve this on priority.

We need to submit the test reading at earliest to our management. Got stuck. Kindly help.

My test set up is below.Only with USB Cable i m connecting with PC and trying to configure using customization tool.

Bhojaraj,

It looks like you are using the Duo evm rather than the 987 EVM based on your picture. And I do not see the barrel jack connected in the image.
