[FAQ] DS90UH949-Q1: Disable HDCP to work with UB Deserializer

Hello,

My customer would like to use DS90UH949-Q1 devices in place of the DS90UB949A-Q1 to keep production running. In reviewing the details they have the following questions.

  1. Can the HDCP function be disabled? If so, how is this done?
  2. Is the UH949 compatible and is it still under warranty when connected to a UB deserializer in production?
  3. Can you confirm the devices are P2P with no HW changes?

    HDCP is not enabled by default. If you do not intentionally turn it on through regs, then it will not be active
