DS250DF410: DS250DF410

Part Number: DS250DF410

Hello,

(1) I am looking a redriver/retimer for 25GKR backplane interface, can DS250DF410 support 25GKR interface?

(2) I plan to use SMBUS mater mode so I need to connect an EEPROM, is there any sample image available or any EEPROM part numbers recommended?

What will be the default value if EEPROM is empty?

thanks

    • (1) I am looking a redriver/retimer for 25GKR backplane interface, can DS250DF410 support 25GKR interface?
      • The DS250DF410 meets the KR high-speed electrical requirements with ample margin
      • The DS250DF410 does not implement the optional link training feature. The local host should disable KR link training when implementing this retimer
    • (2) I plan to use SMBUS mater mode so I need to connect an EEPROM, is there any sample image available or any EEPROM part numbers recommended?
      • TI recommends to implement retimer Rx adapt mode 2 for applications with high insertion loss input channel to the retimer
      • Users may generate their own EEPROM images customized for their system using the the TI retimer GUI accessible via TI.com
      • Refer to the TI EEPROM application note per link below for recommendations
    • What will be the default value if EEPROM is empty?
      • refer to the DS250DF410 datasheet available on TI.com. The default register values per the datasheet are implemented if EEPROM is empty

    Thanks,

  • Hello Rodrigo,

Thanks for the reply, can you please give me the link for TI retimer GUI? I can not find it from TI.com.

Also I check the EEPROM requirement, it has to be device address of A0.

I checked the datasheet of below, there is no address byte, 1 0 1 0 x B1 B0 R/W, the B1 and B0 are for byte selection, is that OK to use?

  • Hi,

You may request download access to GUI via link below. The EEPROM part number per your message looks good to use.
