In the datasheet from december 2019 under 7.9 "RGMII timing" the
- "RGMII to MDI latency"
... and the
- "MDI to RGMII latency"
... are shown with nominal values of 88 and 288 ns.
Can you provide minimum and maximum latencies (or jitter values) for operation in 1000Base-T?
Can you further provide such values for for operation in 10-Base T and 100Base-TX?
Background: in industrial automation the link speed is currently 100Base-TX and will be increased to 1G in future. But, the variation of latency and the knowledge of these values are very importent for product designer. In example for PROFINET RT Class 3, als called PROFINET IRT the PHY latency must be known and may only jitter about 4 ns, not more.
