I need to know how to connect the DS90CF383BMTX/NOPB to an 18 bit LCD.  My micro has 24 bit connected to the input of this device, but my LCD is 18 bit.  I have seen different methods such as leaving the 2 LSBs not connected. Can anyone explain how I do this. This device has RGB in and LVDS outputs. Or does it matter?

    Hello Dave,

    Do you have a bit timing diagram like this for the LCD panel?

    All you need to do is verify that the TxINxx bits are getting mapped to the appropriate LVDS bit positions based on what the panel is expecting. Some 18 bit panels use 3 LVDS lanes instead of 4 so you will want to verify what the panel is expecting vs. these bit positions from the CF383's datasheet
