SN75ALS172A: Output skew (tsk(o))

Part Number: SN75ALS172A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75LBC172A,

Hi Team,

For SN75LBC172A, the tsk(o) is 2ns on the datasheet, but there is no such data for SN75ALS172A.

Could you provide the tsk(o) for SN75ALS172A?

Or compared to SN75LBC172A, is SN75ALS172A higher or lower?

Best Regards,

Tom Liu

  • Hi Tom,

We don't have that parameter for the SN75ALS172A. However with all the other timing spec's from both devices listed - it would be likely that the SN75ALS172A would be similar to worse performance compared to the SN75LBC172A with more probability on it being worse. This is due to the propagation delay and transition times are slower and having larger variances in the SN75ALS172A which gives a larger chance for the skew to be worse as well (as skew is just changes in timing between each channel) since there is more variance likely it is likely to have a higher output skew.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Best,

    Parker Dodson
