Difference between SN75C3221EPW and TRSF3221E

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TRSF3221E, TRS3221E

Hello,

May I know what the difference between SN75C3221EPW and TRSF3221E?

I compare the two specification and cannot find the difference between these two part.

Requirement for the RS232:

1)      One Receiver

2)      One Transmitter

3)      Max Baud rate = 19,200bps

4)      Device support Vcc both  5v and 3.3V

5)      Do device do not need to support split rail for interfacing to 1.8V processors

Do you have a better part to recommend?

  • Hello Joy,

Both devices are the same, only the naming convention is different.

The SNx5C and TRSF have faster slew rate. This is not required for 19,200bps operation. The TRS3221E (normal slower slew rate) is also an option.

I did not understand requirement #5, can you re-phase the requirement?

    Regards,
