TDP0604: Convert solution from eDP to HDMI

Hello Team

I would like to ask about TDP0604.

I want to connect eDP signal ( not DP ) to HDMI connector, is this TDP0604 suitable solution for that?

Or any other recommendation are welcome.

Hi,

TDP0604 is a DP++ to HDMI level shifter. eDP or DP to HDMI would require an active protocol converter. We do not have an active protocol converter solution.

Can you tell me why eDP to HDMI converter active protocol converter? is there any difference between DP++ and eDP signal?

Hi,

DP++ is DP electrical and HDMI protocol, so the TDP0604 only needs to convert the DP electrical to HDMI electrical, but keep the HDMI protocol.

eDP or DP is DP electrical and DP protocol, so you need an active protocol converter to convert DP electrical to HDMI electrical and DP protocol to HDMI protocol.
