SN65DP141: S-parameter model usage.

Hi All,

Recently I had to simulate one of my designs in which the SN65DP141 DP Linear Redriver was used. I downloaded the s-parameter model for this Redriver, but there was no readme note or any information about the model like how to decode the naming, which model has what, etc.

Please can you guide me in using this model?

The simulation tool I am using is Ansys SIwave latest version 2022 R1.

The model we provided is a s-parameter model and data was collected through actual lab measurement. The file name indicates the DP141 pin configuration for that particular measurement.

Hi David,

Thanks for the quick response, but still I am confused about the number of files inside the folder, I am not able to paste any snapshot here.

We don't have an SI expert here to decode it, could you please guide us on this topic.

Please refer to the table below which I mapped out the EQ_DC_GAIN and EQ_AC_GAIN

So for example, file name DP141_DCgain_0_ACgain_11_VOD_0_EQ_Setting_3

DCGAIN = 0 -> EQ_DC_GAIN -6dB

ACGAIN = 11 -> EQ_AC_GAIN 7-17dB

VOD = 0 -> 600mV linearity range as shown below

Hi David

One more question usually the s-parameter models port they assign to some fixed pins is there anything there here too or I can give any port terminal to any DP signals pins, right?
