Availability of/alternatives for a few TI parts

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA199, INA210, INA190, INA186, TLC59108, LP5009

Hi everyone,

As per the title really, we're still struggling with the following TI devices to find any stocks anywhere, and would be interested in any suggestions for supply or alternative parts.

INA199A1DCKT        Current Sense Amplifiers Vltg Output,Hi/Low Msmt, Bi-Dir 0-Drift

TLC59108IPWR        LED Lighting Drivers 8B Fast-Mode Plus I2C-Bus LED Driver

TCA8418RTWR        Interface - Specialised Low-Vltg 16B I2C & SMBus I/O Expander

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Cheers,

Colin

Frustratingly (even more so...) all the part numbers above aren't recognised by TI forum site. It insists upon part numbers, and rejects all of them.

Clicking the "I need help filling in this form" takes you to a "page not found" page. Website clearly needs a LOT more work to be useable!

  • Colin,

I'm sorry to hear about the frustration behind getting this post up. I believe for the parts entry, the issue may be that the input is currently only looking for the main device, and not any orderables (i.e., INA199, and not INA199A1DCKT). Let's try and get you some answers here, and in the meantime, I will reach out to the webmaster with your feedback and make sure he's aware for future improvements. The dead link definitely needs to be checked out/fixed.

I work with our current sensing team and can assist on the INA199, and then I will loop in other members of our staff to speak to the other devices.

For the INA199, the best product I can recommend is the INA210. This device is available in a 20V/V gain, in a pin to pin SC70 package, and comes with increased accuracy (and more importantly, it looks like there is stock on ti.com). It should be a drop in for the INA199.

You could also check out the INA190 (and its cost optimized version, the INA186), which are also pin for pin, but these products move to a capacitively coupled front end, which comes with some tradeoffs.

  • Hi Andrews, thanks for reaching us and your selection about TI solution. This is LED product line and we will help to find the suitable alternation about TLC59108 and then we will help to swap TCA8418RTWR relevant pl to follow your further question.

We recommend LP5009 as the substitutable solution as TLC59108, it use LBC9 Ctech and will get capacity expansion due to RFB2 run up,

  • Hi Carolus,

Thanks very much, that's awesome support. Thanks for taking the time to feed back on the INA210, that's very useful to know about.

If you could forward the questions on the other devices that would be great.

    Thanks again and best regards,
    Colin

  • Thanks Frank, we'll check out the LP5009 as you suggest.

Thanks for the support, much appreciated Slight smile

  • Hi Colin,

I can help you with the TCA818RTW. I have a couple questions first:

    1. Are you just looking for samples?
      1. I checked internally and it looks like we have some part availability online if you would like to order a couple to try out.
    2. If you are looking for a bigger volume of parts for production then I can put you in contact with our marketing team and we can see how much volume we can secure your company.

We don't have another keypad scanner with 80-key scan support. Let me know what you think about the suggestions above.

    Best,

    Chris
