Dear expert,

Customer use TPS25830A to supply a 0.5A USB slave. At the same time, they want to also use TPS25830A 5V output to supply an on board load which is lower than 1A.

Is it OK to do that?

The concern is if TPS25830A output current can be limited by "MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE CURRENT DRAWN BY PORTABLE EQUIPMENT" for SDP?

It's fine.

For SDP 0.5A, it's for portable device such as phone instead of inactive load.
