XIO2001: Usage in avionic systems that require DO-254 certification

Part Number: XIO2001

Hi,

I'm interested in using the XIO2001 component in safety critical avionics, and in order to certify the project we need to assess the design aspects of the COTS devices used in the card (including TI’s devices). Related to this topic I have the following questions to you:

1. Does TI have any record about the usage of XIO2001 device in airborne applications?

2. Was any of these projects certified according to DO-254 recommendations? Was TI involved in the COTS Classification and in the certification process?

3. Do you have PSE (Product Service Experience) information for XIO2001 device? This information is required to produce the COTS Classification document for our project.

4. Is there any additional documentation (not available in TI website) that can be shared to support the certification activities?

Thanks in advance for your support!

  • Hi Alexandre,

I'm following up internally to see if there is any related information related to the XIO2001 and avionics.  Please give me 24 hours to respond.

    Thanks,

    Nicholaus

  • Hi Alexandre,

    1. Does TI have any record about the usage of XIO2001 device in airborne applications?
None of my colleagues have a history of supporting this application with the XIO2001
    2. Was any of these projects certified according to DO-254 recommendations?  Was TI involved in the COTS Classification and in the certification process?
We have not worked with DO-254 certification.
    3. Do you have PSE (Product Service Experience) information for XIO2001 device? This information is required to produce the COTS Classification document for our project.
No, but if they have a template we can check to see what information we might be able to provide.
    4. Is there any additional documentation (not available in TI website) that can be shared to support the certification activities?
    No

    Regards,

    Nicholaus

  • Hi Nicholaus,

I'll discuss internally this topic to understand if there is anything else to ask to you.

I'll keep you updated, and I'll try to get back to this topic by tomorrow.

    Thanks,

    Alexandre
