Hi team,

As for Figure23, LED_2 directly drives base pin of the transistor without base resistor(current limit).

Is it necessary to add base resistor on LED_2 pin for current limit?

If it's yes, adding base resistor doesn't affect pin strap?

Or is it okay to just follow below figure?

Hi Shota,

This is the suggested implementation, but the final design will need to take into account your specific BJT, so include a current limiting resistor if necessary for your application. Adding one should not effect strap pin.

Thanks for your reply. Let me ask you another question. Does each LED pin have internal output resistor for current limiting?

Hi Shota,

There is no internal current limiting resistor. The same applies to LED_0 and LED_1.
