TUSB8020B: How to output USB signal test pattern?

Hi team,

Customer would like to measure USB signal and check signal could meet specification or not.

So can you advise how to program TUSB8020 and output USB signal test pattern for their evaluation?

Hi,

They will need to install a USB compliance tool like the XHCI HSETT tool from usb.org on the CPU and then use the tool to enable the downstream ports of the TUSB8020B to generate the required test packet.

And is there any software or tool can evaluate signal quality between CPU and USB Hub?

Hi,

The XHCI HSETT tool will be used to generate the test packet from the CPU. To evaluate the signal quality, you will have to break the physical connection between the CPU and the hub and then use USB compliance SW on a scope to evaluate the SI. But the hub itself does not have a way to verify the input signal quality.
