Hey Sundar,

I just realized that you have a single DSI input so you would actually have to use the 941 superframe feature since splitter mode is only used when you have 2 DSI inputs. The superframe feature of the 941 does not utilize vertical blanking which means that the difference in vertical size of the two images will be cropped and turn into vertical blanking. In order to determine if this is possible we would need to see the timing specs of both displays, can you please send those and we will go from there.

Hey Sundar,

Do you know what the tolerance of the displays are? The difference in the vertical resolution of the two displays will be cropped from the smaller display and turn into vertical blanking. So in this case that would be 800 - 480 = 320 blanking lines vertically for the smaller display which has a typical blanking value of 20. If this is outside of the tolerance of the display an alternative solution would be to use two DSI ports and the splitter mode you originally mentioned. What is the application of this device? I can find out if there are any other devices that would be applicable.

We are developing HUD with DLP3030(800x480).

Also ,we have one more query , If the SoC sends the image with 1280*800 (for both displays) , and can we use TCON to  process/crop the image to 800*480 at HUD side? If yes, Please suggest which TCON can be used?

Is DLP3030 support TCON?

Please help to clarify.

As discussed we have only one DSI port with us and we cannot use 2 DSI input.

So with only one DSI port how to achieve the above setup.

SoC->941->928/948->MCU.

Now  would like to transfer IIC data from SoC to MCU via SER and DESER.

Could you please tell what is the maximum length of data , can send in a single IIC transfer, like maximum data length can be 16,32,256 bytes?
