TFP410 resolution capabilities

The datasheet indicates support for up to UXGA (1600x1200) resolution, but is there a way to get the device to work at higher resolution such as WUXGA (1920x1200) by changing some of the functional parameters in order to get the desired bandwidth which would mean that the chip isn't protocol dependant.

The TFP410 can support WUXGA just as it is.

The datasheets are being updated.

Is it just a "connect and use" or are there settings or features that have to be invoked? Updating the datasheet - is this adding the WUXGA statement, or info on how to implement? Can we get a prelim datasheet with the updates?

It is a "connect and use". The update consisted on just add the "WUXGA" statement.

I'm looking for a preliminar version.

Our DVI devices are ignorant of the resolution, and simply support "up to 165Mhz pixel clock". The statement about UXGA dates back about 9 years before widescreen resolutions became popular.

Here are some VESA standards:
UXGA (1600x1200) @60Hz - 162MHz
1080p60 (1920x1080@60Hz) - 148.5MHz
WUXGA (1920x1200) @60Hz_RB - 154MHz
