TLIN2021A-Q1: About Vsup Absolute Maximum Rating

In truck 24V VBAT application, TLIN2021A-Q1 Vsup is connected to VBAT which will be clamped to 60V during ISO-16750 5a load dump for about 250ms. Is TLIN2021A-Q1 guaranteed to survive for a period time when Vsup is 60V?

    Hi Andy,

    Yes, this device is rated to withstand DC conditions on Vsup up to is absolute maximum specification of 60V. Operation may not be possible as this condition is outside the recommended operational conditions for the device. However, because the absolute maximum rating is not violated, the device will not be damaged.
