DS90UB926Q-Q1: Set Remote Device ID

Hello,

I would like to confirm that writing register 0x07 will set the remote serializer I2C Device ID.  Currently the remote serializer (DS90UB921) ID is set by its IDx pin.

I have a desire to override the IDx pin setting and am hoping I can do so by writing a new Device ID to register 0x07 on the local deserializer. It appears I also need to set bit 0 to a '1' to prevent it from changing back.

Below is the register description from the DS90UB926Q1 data sheet.

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your question. You are reading the data sheet correctly. Register 0x07 is responsible for setting the remote serializer I2C ID. You will also need to set the Freeze Device ID bit (bit 0 of the register) to 1 to prevent the device ID from being overwritten.
