TCAN1044AV-Q1: Wake up via CAN conditions

Hi team,

Regarding TCAN1044AV-Q1, customer has been performing some testing and has seen that they can wake-up via CAN frame just keeping the VIO supply of 3.3V (and disconnecting the 5V VCC in deep sleep). They would like to confirm if this is expected behavior and intended in application, as it implies an improvement in terms of power consumption in sleep mode.

They did not find anything in datasheet.

Please see section "Undervoltage Lockout" in the device's data sheet, which might address your question.

When there is no V_CC, you would be in the condition V_CC < UV_CC and V_IO > UV_IO. Here, when STB is high, the device is in Standby and is able to recognize remote wake requests (WUP).

Yes, this is an intended application mode, as the device is still intended to recognize wake-ups in cases where the VCC power supply is not activated.
