TUSB4041I-Q1: GRSTz pull down

Part Number: TUSB4041I-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB4041I

TI Experts,

TUSB4041I-Q1 datasheet refers that pin GRSTz has an internal PU, but not any value of it.

TUSB4041I-Q1 is used in a system with another uC and this uC is the source of control the out of reset of the devices on the board.

Is it OK if placing a 4.7k TUSB4041I-Q1 GRSTz puldown resistor to ensure TUSB4041I-Q1 is in reset after a valid ‘1’ signal is sent to it?

  • Hi Piotr,

It is defined in current, not ohms:

Reset is active low, so if you put a pulldown on it, your uC would always need to assert a 1 to overdrive the pulldown to keep the hub active.
