We would like to use a PCA9515 I2C repeater to connect an ARM microP to a NXP PCF2119X LCD driver. We work at 100 KHz speed. The microprocessor supports the Standard mode and a rise time of 1000 ns max while the PCF2119X needs 300 ns max of rise time at 100 KHz too. The purpose of the PCA9515 is to speed up the rise time when driving PCF2119X . This means that we'll have a 100 KHz on both side of I2C repeater but a faster rise time to meet the 300 ns max of PCF2119X. Is this correct ?
