DS160PT801: Need full datasheet, simulation models, confirmation the part exists

Part Number: DS160PT801

Hello,

I'm looking to use this x8 Gen4 PCIe Retimer on an upcoming design, and I haven't been able to confirm the part actually exists.  In one area of TI's website, it indicates the part is 'active', but in another area, it indicates 'preview', see below:

Active:  https://www.ti.com/product/DS160PT801/part-details/PDS160PT801C0ACBT

Preview:  https://www.ti.com/product/DS160PT801

Questions for TI:

1.  Does the part actually exist and is orderable?  If so, what is the correct orderable PN - PDS160PT801C0ACBT or DS160PT801C0ACBT

2.  Can TI provide a full datasheet for this component?  The online datasheet is more of a summary.

3.  Can TI provide simulation models for this component (IBIS-AMI or equivalent)?

4.  Can TI confirm that this part conforms to the published Intel PCIe Gen4 Retimer common spec located here:  https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/io/pci-express/pci-express-gen4-retimer-features-tech-brief.html

Thanks,

Ed

  • Hi Ed,

The part does exist. The active link that you posted is for C0 pre-production silicon to request and try before the product it is released.   These will be obsolete after the part releases, which is likely why there are none left to request.

The final version of the DS160PT801 has not been released yet, so the main page says that is in "Preview".  I cannot share the information related to the release date or the device on this public forum.  Does your company have a TI field/sales contact?  If so, I recommend reaching out to them for more information.

After the part releases, you should be able to request this information directly from the DS160PT801 landing page.

    Regards,

    Nicholaus
