      1. What is the difference between DS90UH948 and DS90UB948,  What does UH and UB mean ？ 

      2. Can ds90ub948-q1 only be used with ds90ub949-q1, but not with ds90ub949-q1?

    Hi Rain,

    Thank you for your question.

    1. The only difference between DS90UH948 and DS90UB948 is HDCP functionality. UH devices have the ability to support HDCP, while UB devices do not. All other aspects of the devices are the same.

    2. The DS90UB948-Q1 is compatible with the DS90UB949-Q1 as well as the other serializers listed in the data sheet, which you can find here. If you are ever unsure about serializer/deserializer compatibility you can check the related device data sheet under the cover page or detailed description section.
