DS90UB960-Q1: 0X4D LOCK STATUS ISSUE

Part Number: DS90UB960-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP

We have found a strange thing which is the port2 of 960 may sometimes have not locked issue.

the bit-0 may go to 0 , then 1 ,then 0 ,then 1.

do you have any advice about this issue?

  • Hello Tianming,

If bit 0 of register 0x4D is ever zero, this typically indicates that the link quality between the SER and DES is not good which causes errors in the data being transferred between the SER and the DES.

So that I can help you resolve this problem, could you:

    1. Please run the MAP tool built into ALP, to check the quality of the link between the SER and DES, and provide me the results? If needed please reference the MAP tool User’s Guide
    2. Provide me a register dump from both the SER and DES

    Thank you,

    Joshua
