ISO1050 and the NMEA2000

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO1050, SN65HVD1050

Hello there, here are a couple of quesitons related to ISO1050:

1.)    Do you know if we can achieve NMEA2000 certification with the ISO1050?

2.)    Do you know of anyone using this transceiver for NMEA2000?

The datasheet does not mention NMEA2000 as an application (although the SN65HVD1050 does, it would still require some sort of isolation stage).  It think the ISO1050 meets the NMEA2000 spec for propagation delay, minimum nodes, and data rate.  I am not sure if it meets the isolation requirements, the NMEA2000 spec says 100Kohms between and isolated and non-isolated pins.

I really like this IC, it's very cost effective for isolated CAN and has a low implementation part count.  I had a quick look online and there is several discussions on using it NMEA2000, I just want to be sure it meets all the NMEA2000 requirements.

Thank-you for your help,

Teodor
