 Hi Team,

As I previously asked the same question on the eye pattern change, the customer still has the same issue after trying what you had suggested in the last thread.

As you replied in the previous thread, the customer changed the EQ resistance after turning off the device after measuring the eye pattern but still has the same issue of no change in eye pattern. The customer also checked ENA_HS pin's output value and it is 3.3V when normal USB play mode AND 0V when USB test mode.

Could the location of the conditioner affect the outcome? It is located between the CPU and charger.

Could there be any other reasons why there is no change in the eye pattern after EQ resistance change?

    Hi Chris,

    If the ENA_HS Pin is reading low when in test mode, then the redriver in not enabled when in testing mode, which indicates something is not correct. Please make sure that the customer is properly following the test procedures described in the datasheet for testing the redriver, such as the ones in section 8.2.2.1 and section 8.2.2.2 in the datasheet. Also, when testing, make sure that all terminations are connected before the host begins sending test packets and that RSTN is driven for enough time to fully power the redriver.
