DS90UH941/948 may work too, but it's two chip solution.SN65DPHY440 can compensate with 4db EQ at 500Mhz and De with 2db.

I check datasheet of SN65DPY440.

According to page 21, the distance is total 13 inches.
I think this is too short.

SN65DPY440 can be handle around 6db loss, what is the loss of the 2m cable at 400Mhz?
