TVP5160: TVP5160 RGB inputs

Part Number: TVP5160
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH1980, LM1881

Hello

I want to have RGB (with Csync, sync on composite, and sync on green) + YPbPr + S-video + Composite video as inputs then have digital output suitable with ADV7341 (YCbCR 20-bit) which I think TVP5160 can do. For RGB and YPbPr I am happy with ED 480p\576p maximum resolution as it says.

I've got the following questions about TVP5160:

1- since YPbPr inputs to TVP5160 can be up to 480p and 576p, can RGB inputs be the same?

2- for RGB sync type, does it have to be composite video? I need it to accept either composite video itself, or most likely to my cases just pure composite sync, and some cases require sync on green. Does TVP5160 accept sync on green and pure CSync? My guess would be that it does accept CSync but wanted to be sure. if it doesn't accept sync on green then I would need to use a sync stripper like LMH1980 to get pure Csync from sync on green.

3- slightly related, can LMH1980 accept csync input? if question 2 answer is that tvp5160 cannot use sync on green then I would require a sync stripper, and lm1881 can't do sync on green thus leaving me to have lmh1980. i would need to have the choice to feed it either scart green signal or scart pin 20 which can be either sync on composite video or just pure csync. which is why i want to make sure no error will happen if i fed csync to it as long is it just outputs csync itself.

4-do I need to know the input resolution? I mean ntsc, pal, 480p...etc?

5- the output I need is 20-bit ycbcr or 10-bit ycbcr with discrete syncs, and csync output instead of hsync. my question is, can I have it embedded syncs while simultaneously outputting cs and vs for all supported resolutions?

6- in case I want to add VGA RGBHV support up to just 480p, can it be done? I don't see any indication that TVP5160 can do H and V sync input.

thanks
