TUSB522P: USB re-driver "TUSB522PRGER-GP" issue clarify

Hi Expert,

We have encountered a problem,

There are total four USB ports on our system, 2 ports without re-driver at rear side and 2 ports with TI re-driver at front panel.

The ports at front panel can’t detect the SanDisk pan driver after the warm reset, but other brand of pan driver are fine and no such issue.

When the issue happened , we can recover it by re-plugging the pan driver .

For only different part in schematic has just designed with the TI re-driver at front panel.

Could you check if you have encountered such similar issue before, do you have and idea or suggestion that can help us to debug ?

Does customer have a USB 3 trace of the failure? What is the part number of the Sandisk pen drive used?

Hi Malik,

The signal quality test are all qualified for four ports.

Have you tried measuring the RX termination of the TUSB522P when this failure state is seen?

Sorry , I am so hectic the other day.

We can't do that , beacuse the quality mesure is with the USB fixture ,then it can report the data to the scope to show us.

Hi Malik ,

No, we boot into the OS , key the "lsusb -t " and check if the pen driver can be detected.

you can refer the photo for detail.

If you need any log, please let me know what's process that I need to do.

Do you have access to Lecroy Voyager M310e/M3x or equivalent? Can you probe with multimeter on the SSRX and SSTX traces on the PCB to measure resistance?
