My question is at Page37 of the datasheet.

"For SGMII Mode 4 strap, TI recommends using Rhi = 4 kΩ and Rlo = 10 kΩ on RX_D0 and RX_D1 , RX_D2 and
RX_D3."

what does it mean " for SGMII Mode 4 strap" here?? does it mean config LED_0 to mode 2 or mode 4, then config the rest address with Rhi = 4 kΩ and Rlo = 10 kΩ instead of use Rhi and Rlo listed in table 5??

Hi Li,

This statement has nothing to with the LED_0 strap or SGMII mode.

To explain the statement a bit more, 'For Mode 4 on SGMII shared pins i.e, RX_D0, RX_D1, RX_D2, RX_D3, use Rhi = 4 kΩ and Rlo = 10 kΩ'
This recommendation stands independent of the strap on LED_0/SGMII or RGMII mode.

Thanks for the reply. This is extremely confusing to me now. I would like to enable SGMII and use RX_D0, RX_D1, RX_D2, RX_D3 to configure the phy addresses, so should I use the resistors listed in table 5, or use Rhi = 4 kΩ and Rlo = 10 kΩ instead??
