When running BIST on a DS90UB954 / DS90UB953 setup...
- Is the forward channel data rate always the maximum speed, about 4 Gbps? (using synchronous mode with 25 MHz reference)
- Is the AEQ algorithm active still in the event channel lock is lost during BIST?
Hello Jason,
Let me investigate these questions and I will get back to you by August 2nd at the latest.
Thank you,
Joshua
Hi Jason,
Is the forward channel data rate always the maximum speed, about 4 Gbps? (using synchronous mode with 25 MHz reference)
Yes the forward channel is always at 4 Gbps even while in BIST, this can be verified by checking the RX_FREQ_HIGH and RX_FREQ_LOW registers on the DES
Is the AEQ algorithm active still in the event channel lock is lost during BIST?
While BIST is active the AEQ will still be active and continuously trying to recover lock if it is lost.
Best regards,
Joshua
