DS90UB949-Q1: Low Power Mode via Register?

Part Number: DS90UB949-Q1

Is there any way to place the DS90UB949 into a low power state without using the PDB pin?  Customer is looking for a way to reduce Iq through register control when the FPD link is not active .  They don't have the ability to toggle the PDB pin in the current design.

  • Hello Mark,

949 does not have any sort of low power features or register controlled low power modes. For this device if you need to reduce consumption you can at least remove the HDMI clock input to the part which would drive the link at AON speed instead of full speed but that is a relatively minor saving.

    Best Regards,
