TUSB321: TUSB321RWBR

Part Number: TUSB321

Hi there,

I am designing a device with USB C receptacle connector. This port is used for USB 2.0 data communication, in addition to receiving power up to 5V 3A. When the device is connected to a laptop through a USB A port (on laptop side) using a USB A to USB C cable we have data communication and 5V power. But, when the device is connected to a USB C port (on laptop side) using a USB C to USB C cable we have data communication without any voltage (VBUS=0V).

Note; CC1 and CC2 pins are connected to ground through 5.1K resistors.

Can I use TUSB321 as a UFP for having 5V on VBUS when the device is connected to a USB C port?

Does the device still work with USB A ports?

Kind Regards

Masoud
