SN75DP130: After training, Link bandwidth will change to 1.62G/ 2 lanes

We have one question which likes the subject.

After training, Link bandwidth will change to 1.62G/ 2 lanes (our setting is 2.7G/ 2lanes) and DPCD monitor will crash sometime.

Please refer our register setting script as below.

We want to know which condition or value will cause Display port training result wrong ( 1.62G / 2.7G).

Please help to provide your recommendations for us.

Hi,

Do you have the actual DP AUX Link Training log file?

The DP130 only snoops the link training on the AUX bus, it does not actively drive the link training.

If the link training is downgraded to 1.62G, it is possible that the link training between the source and the sink failed at 5.4G and 2.7G due to poor main link signal quality, and then gets downgraded to 1.62G. Once at 1.62G, it is able to pass the link training as the signal quality improves.
