It's a single channel PHY, and we want to make a Daisy Chain Structure, how is it possible with this device? We need to know how to connect our device in the middle of the network.

Hi Mark,

Can you please give out a block diagram of what you are trying to accomplish? Are you trying to daisy chain the communication, the clocking, etc?

They want to put our device in a single pair ethernet network (100BASE-T1) and don't allocate the processor to make the bypass between the two PHYs. Is there any ic that can be used like a "switch" in this case?

Hi Mark,

It looks like you are trying to implement a "switch like" solution. Unfortunately, we do not have this as a single IC. Assuming it is just a 2 port system, a solution that you could use is having 2 PHYs which could implement this. Each PHYs' MDI would be connected to the different 100BASE-T1 networks while the MII connections would be to each other using back-to-back RMII or RGMII, depending on the PHY. We have examples like this on our EVMs, but just as media converters between automotive and industrial ethernet, but the concept is still the same even when not converting between ethernet types.
