DS90UB948-Q1: CMC selection on FPD line

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1

Hello Ryan,

For the below suggested Common mode suggested part why we are looking specifically at 90 ohm ? Is there any reason? shall I check with 120 ohm impedance at 100MHz?

thanks

  • Hello Rajvel,

Ideally we would actually prefer 100 ohm, however there are very few if any CMCs we are aware of on the market with low enough differential insertion loss over frequency and 100 ohm impedance. The DLW device we recommend in our designs has extremely low differential insertion loss. If there is another device with comparable differential IL and 100 ohm impedance that would actually be better. 120 would be worse since it is deviating even further from the 100 ohm target

    Best Regards,

    Casey
