This IC is used in the central control panel produced by our KMM customer (steel-mate) and is finally used in Xiaopeng automobile. Xiaopeng automobile has mass produced nearly 100Kpcs. One of the 500pcs produced recently was found to be abnormal, and the vehicle manufacturer asked us to find out the root cause. The customer conducted the following tests and inspections:
1. This IC has severe fever; The input current of the whole circuit board rises from 1.2A in normal condition to 2.3A in abnormal condition. The serial interface of this IC has no data flow output.
2. We conducted ABA exchange test and found that the problem followed this abnormal IC.
3. The customer made X-ray and found some abnormalities. See the photos provided by us for details.
4. Remove the IC from the circuit board, and test the pin to ground impedance of the IC separately. It is found that four pins of the IC have very small impedance to ground, which is close to short circuit; The result is pin22: 10.4 Ω; PIN49:6.5Ω; PIN52:7Ω; PIN63:15.8Ω.
