PWM data extraction from I2C

I have to re design a circuit to extract PWM data coming from I2C and to provide to a another interface H/W as PWM enable.

constraint is before we were using a LED driver with slave address 0101XXX and now to use I2C to I/O expander, i am not getting a IC matching the same slave address.

no changes in software are welcome, so trying in hardware

any I2C to PWM/IO chip, i can use with same I2C address, or other circuit can be used to extract PWM data from I2C, please let us know.

You have to use another LED driver. And if you do not want to change the software, not only the slave address but also the register layout must be the same.

Which LED driver did you use previously? Why do you want to replace it?

now we have a inbuilt LED driver and we need just a PWM input for the same. it has no provision for I2c

Hi Kavitha,

This is a job for a microcontroller, there's no logic devices that can extract I2C data and output a PWM signal. I'll loop in the MSP team to see if they have any suggestions.
